CollabWeb is a standards-based product, designed from the ground up to be as resource-efficient and widely-compatible as possible.

CollabWeb is designed for Microsoft Active Server Pages (ASP) environments. It is 100% script, which means that it doesn't require any third-party components to be installed on the server. This ensures out of the box compatbility with literally any Windows based hosting platform.

CollabWeb requires that your server be able to execute ASP script and work with Access/Jet databases. You can host this yourself on any Windows NT/2000 or later server with the standard Microsoft IIS web server installed or CollabWeb can also be hosted by any of the thousands of Windows-based hosting providers available on the Internet. Collaborate Technologies single solution service also offers outsourced complete hosting packages for very minimal fees.

Site administration and authoring can be done from just about anywhere. No special software needs to be installed on the client beyond a web browser. CollabWeb is standards-compliant and uses no ActiveX or Java components, but editing requires Internet Explorer 5.5 or later. The editor interface is based on Javascript and DHTML assuring compatibility and a speedy interface.
